Merry Christmas!

This is my favorite time of the year..I LOVE buying presents for others and seeing their facial expressions. I think i went a little overboard this year...but i think making my friends and family smile is very much worth it! This is a time of giving...and i will give anything to see a smile on others faces...life is short. Let's make the most of it while we are here!

Gingerbread house decorating!

We have a family tradition, that i still..LOVE! It's making gingerbread houses. The kids really enjoy it...but so do i. I love the act of being creative and making it my own. This is something that began when my sister and i had a children ( i have a girl and my sister has a boy). It started out as a competition me and my nephew against my daughter and my sister... this has carried on for the last 8 years..and my nephew is now 18 and my daughter is 14. Happy Monday! I have ben feeling so under the weather for the past week it really has me drained! Still no Christmas shopping...because i have a sinus infection...UGH!! Well i did make my way to Fred's at Barney's for a wonderful brunch with my bestie...Y. However, I managed to slide myself into the shoe section of course...found an awesome pair of Christian Louboutin. Now let's just see if Santa is listening!!!!

Trying to catch up....

With the holiday season in full swing...i find that i am soooo far behind with my Christmas shopping!! What this means exactly...i haven't bought 1 single item. I know i still have time...but i haven't been hit by the holiday bug yet....I hope it comes to bite me soon....

Let the holidays begin!

I hope everyone had a Fabulous Thanksgiving weekend. I decided to extend it and take today off as well...yay! I had so many plans...get back into working out...clean, get the tree up and decorated...etc...well let's just say...i caught up on some much needed sleep and the food network channel...ha ha. I will be back in the gym tomorrow ...back to running, but i think i am going for  a goal of working out 4-5 days a week and do some yoga or kickboxing ...to spice things up a bit. How do you guys change things up a bit...now that the holidays are amongst us...we still ahve to fit inot hose pretty dresses...

So today Alex and i decided to hang out and do a little shopping! She has had a busy week...cross country has ended and now Basketball season has begun....so we felt we needed a little fun time. We always have fun together...a lot of laughter!

Getting Ready for the Work Week...

Spent eh weekend running around with my mother and daughter doing a lot of fun girl stuff. Since the weather held up, we went shopping downtown and had dinner at a great spot called Dublin's. Sunday more shopping because basketball season for my daughter is about to begin.....and she finally decided that she wanted to dress up for Halloween..but she didn't have a costume. So more shopping....of course i am not complaining, because i love to shop.. the problem was other kids needed a costume as well. Completer mayhem! LOL

Last weekend for full of Fall wonderful weather! My BF and i decided to do some much needed catching up over brunch. We are completely opposite..she is the practical sporty one while i on e the other hand opt for fashion over comfort...LOL. We had such a great time chatting and shopping and just enjoying each other's company...

Whirl wind trip to Los Angeles

I am sorry i have been away from the blog for a little bit...I promise to get in more blogging in the next few weeks. Well i took Alex on a girls weekend to LA to visit my BF. We had a great time...hiking, dining, laughing...and just being girls...
Now back home i went through a little bit of a depression...ugh, no warmth, no mountains to hike...no Vegan restaurants on every corner...sigh...Well snap out of it...back in Chicago, able to enjoy the crispness of Fall. Check out some of the pics...
