I was able to spend the weekend in NYC with my daughter fro some good food, shopping and just plain fun. We ran around time being silly and hitting a ton of hot spots. Stayed at the James hotel in Soho...highly recommended!!!

It is Hot and Humid here in Chicago...but you not hear me complain one bit. I love hot weather and wish it was hot all year long!! The temperature reached 102 degree the other day...wow!!! Of course i was inside all day working...but even at 8pm it was still 90 degrees.. What's the temperature like where you are?

I quit processed foods!!!

SO as of today i have decided to swear off ALL processed foods! Yes you heard me correctly..All. I actually pride myself on eating relatively clean majority of the time...but i want to take my eating and working out to the next level...

I believe that i have to cut out sugar and processed food... I don't eat sugar except the occasional vegan treat. So now i will limit that treat to once a month as a tiny reward if i feel i need one :-)

A lovely weekend wedding...

We went to a wedding over the weekend...far way by the Wisconsin border...The day was hot and oh so sunny...a great day for a wedding... The bride was beautiful and the reception was super fun! Hope your week was lovely!

On Friday Alex and i had some good girl fun... We went and had our hair done..then manicures and pedicures. Laughed a lot throughout the entire day...which is what we do BEST!!! Such a hot and humid day...

Hi ladies-
Things have been super busy...but i vow to make more time to blog! Trying to figure out what exactly i want my blog to be...thoughts??
Well i love fashion and being healthy...I want to figure out a way to incorporate the two. I would also like the blog to be inspirational to other women..without being over bearing..

Where did all this come from ..you ask??? I was reading a post by Dulce Candy on Instagram...and all of the comments from readers were so negative. Her post was simple one "Father day came a little late" with a photos of her car pulling a boat..many people said such hateful things to this small post. Talking about her making others jealous because of all the "things' she has....this went on...and...on for over 300 comments...

So this made me ask..what are we as people hard on others? Why can't we find inspiration in everything and be happy for others?

I look to other blogs for new ideas...news treats..and just to see new things...

Sorry i have not be consistent with my posts lately. WOrk has been really busy..then there's that little thing called life. Trying to keep my work and play life balanced is really hard. I have finally upped my workouts to 5 times a week!!!! Tuesday -thursday, then Saturday and Sunday...feels really good! ALex is out of school for the summer ...so i will make a point to get more pics in this month!!! Hope everyone is enjoying the warmth like i am ....bring on the 90's...yay!!!
