Getting Ready for the Work Week...

Spent eh weekend running around with my mother and daughter doing a lot of fun girl stuff. Since the weather held up, we went shopping downtown and had dinner at a great spot called Dublin's. Sunday more shopping because basketball season for my daughter is about to begin.....and she finally decided that she wanted to dress up for Halloween..but she didn't have a costume. So more shopping....of course i am not complaining, because i love to shop.. the problem was other kids needed a costume as well. Completer mayhem! LOL

Last weekend for full of Fall wonderful weather! My BF and i decided to do some much needed catching up over brunch. We are completely opposite..she is the practical sporty one while i on e the other hand opt for fashion over comfort...LOL. We had such a great time chatting and shopping and just enjoying each other's company...

Whirl wind trip to Los Angeles

I am sorry i have been away from the blog for a little bit...I promise to get in more blogging in the next few weeks. Well i took Alex on a girls weekend to LA to visit my BF. We had a great time...hiking, dining, laughing...and just being girls...
Now back home i went through a little bit of a depression...ugh, no warmth, no mountains to hike...no Vegan restaurants on every corner...sigh...Well snap out of it...back in Chicago, able to enjoy the crispness of Fall. Check out some of the pics...

Weekend in Indy!

This past weekend...i realized i am very much a CITY girl! There was fmily weekend at Indiana State University for my nephew. My sister, mother, daughter and i went to see my nephew Rickie away at school and spend the weekend with him. If anyone knows where Terre Haute, IN is...my oh my...you know it is NOT CHICAGO! In the Pouring Rain...

This past Sunday was full of showers and misting throughout the entire day. Of course it was the day the hubby and i along with some friends decide to go to the BMW golf outing... I am sure you guys have figured out i am not one for the cold..nor the rain...When not out on the course we spent the remainder of the day chit chatting the VIP tent...very dry!

I trust everyone had a wonderful weekend...while also hopefully giving a moment of silence fro the 9/11 victims yesterday. We had a packed weekend here. My daughter had her Homecoming game and dance ..along with a cross country meet to run in...followed by Brunch with friends on Sunday and hitting the farmer's market. Top Shop Opens in Chicago!

So yesterday Top Shop opened up....and boy oh boy was it busy. Everyone and their mother was in the store. It was a little to busy for my liking. But of course you know i had to venture inside...as i looked around and took it all in, i found that i was slightly overwhelmed....so i will have to wait for things to die down ...just a little. With all of the newness of top shop... i decided to go a little vintage. Let  me know what you think...
