It's cold again

The weather here in Chicago has change..yet again. We went from 75 degrees to 50 degrees all in one day. This doesn't make it easy to dress for. Of course i have been working long hours that even by the time I get out of work i have missed all of the lovely weather. I am sooooo looking forward to springlike temperatures...hummmmm who am i kidding....summer temps is more to my liking.

Roasted Chickpeas

I have found a new snack... And it's easy to make...

1 can bps free chic peas(drained)
1 tsp olive oil
Pinch sea salt
1 tsp gram Marsala

Mix chic peas an olive oil, place on roasting sheet. Place in 400 degree oven for 40 min. When done sprinkle with sea salt and gram Marsala

Today it appears the the weather is trying to take a turn for the better after a brief cold spell. I think we have been spoiled with our recent 70-80 degree days here in Chicago. I am itching to wear some dresses and  not be so bundled up. Let the toes air out...Yay!!! Soooo very soon... Happy Hump day!

As I sit here reading my InStyle magazine....i see the post...What's in her bag...and it inspires me to share exactly that... So as you may not know..i have many bags... But i don't always carry them during the week, because i also have a work bag and it would be too much to have two and three bags to carry to work. his was my weekend bag for a little  shopping fun with Alex. ( i will share my amazing purchases soon!!)

Sunday brunch

Hey dolls- since it feels like spring in Chicago... I wanted to have a spring like brunch to celebrate a late Christmas with a dear friend. Yes you heard me...Christmas! We have tried to get together... But our schedules have been so hectic...so I had Christmas in march! What a treat to open presents.. How did you spend your weekend??

This past Saturday we celebrated my husbands birthday..although a little late. We went to Epic..a wonderful restaurant here in downtown Chicago. It's a very chic place...one of the "places to go and be seen"...LOL. Here are a few pic of my daughter and i as we left for the night out...

Happy Saturday! Yesterday evening i had the privilege of being outfitted by Ann Taylor for their exclusive pre party opening for their concept store on Michigan Ave in Chicago. I was their to speak on behalf of the STEP Up organization which helps teen girls from the inner city gain self esteem and help them become college bound and career ready. It was such a moving night. The young lady i mentor is pictured here. Andrew Taylor was there to kick off the opening of the store and reintroduce the young vibe that they are showing the world. Great cause...Great night!!! Vibrant color blocking is the theme of the spring season!
