Fun in the Park

To start the new year off....on NYE..Alex and i started the day off at brunch..laughing as usual. We then hopped in the car off to do a little shopping..on the way to the mall i became distracted by the warm temperature (50 degrees in Chicago is warm for December)...SO...i pulled the car over and decided we must go and play in the park..and swing on the swing sets. Yes you heard me correctly...PLAY in the park. ..check out the pics...

Hope everyone is ready to begin the new year with a bang!!! Welcome 2012....I am sooooo excited to begin the new year..why you say??? Because it will be something new...something fresh...a way to get rid of the old and make new lists of plans and things to do...SO here is something a little new coming to the blog: food! I want to incorporate ALL the  things i love (shopping, fashion, food and being healthy). Being beautiful for me means being a well round person...so i am going to do a fashion post, a food post and something in regards to health...rather it be exercise or something related.

This is my favorite time of the year..I LOVE buying presents for others and seeing their facial expressions. I think i went a little overboard this year...but i think making my friends and family smile is very much worth it! This is a time of giving...and i will give anything to see a smile on others faces...life is short. Let's make the most of it while we are here!

Gingerbread house decorating!

We have a family tradition, that i still..LOVE! It's making gingerbread houses. The kids really enjoy it...but so do i. I love the act of being creative and making it my own. This is something that began when my sister and i had a children ( i have a girl and my sister has a boy). It started out as a competition me and my nephew against my daughter and my sister... this has carried on for the last 8 years..and my nephew is now 18 and my daughter is 14. Happy Monday! I have ben feeling so under the weather for the past week it really has me drained! Still no Christmas shopping...because i have a sinus infection...UGH!! Well i did make my way to Fred's at Barney's for a wonderful brunch with my bestie...Y. However, I managed to slide myself into the shoe section of course...found an awesome pair of Christian Louboutin. Now let's just see if Santa is listening!!!!

Trying to catch up....

With the holiday season in full swing...i find that i am soooo far behind with my Christmas shopping!! What this means exactly...i haven't bought 1 single item. I know i still have time...but i haven't been hit by the holiday bug yet....I hope it comes to bite me soon....
